A Winter Wonderland Shoot at Mt Baw Baw

The Martin's Welcome Twin Brothers for Archie


I couldn't be more surprised, or happier for these two when Alanah messaged me to say they were expecting again but this time with twins! I've known her since she was born as her parents are very good school friends of mine and my daughter was born just a few days before her. So this was always going to be a special shoot for me.

Both Alanah and Damien have a love for the snow, one of their first big holidays together was to Whistler in Canada to ski. So I thought what better opportunity to do something a bit unique to them and do the maternity shoot at the snow.

These guys live just an hour and a half from Mt Baw Baw and the snow season had kicked off with a bang so up we headed. I have to say Archie was not feeling the vibe but after lots of coaxing and help from Nanna Janiene we managed to get him to cooperate and even got a few smiles. I think it might take a bit more work to instill his parents love for the snow into this little guy.
