A Love of exploring Australia brings this gorgeous family from Singapore to Phillip Island.

Keli reached out to me all the way from Singapore to see if I was available to photograph her beautiful little family on their annual Australian Adventure. This year they were heading to my little pocket of the world and staying on Phillip Island for a few days at a gorgeous little Airbnb. She had seen some of my shoots at Pyramid Rock and Kilcunda and had fallen in love. So a plan was set to meet up and do a shoot on the cliffs.

The weather was absolutely perfect. Sunny and no wind but once we got to the cliffs we hadn't factored in that poor little Isla had never experienced Australian flies, who were out in full force. She got very upset and was constantly shaking her head and swatting the flies, so this definitely wasn't going to work. After a few failed attempts we decided to decamp back to the Airbnb and do the shoot there. With a much happier little girl, we played in the yard, picked some lemons and wrestled on the couch and captured some truly gorgeous moments. Sometimes the best plan is what happens when something doesn't work out.
